to Lima:
We will pick you up from
the airport upon arrival and take
you to the hotel in Lima.

day in Lima:
You will have the day to explore
the city by yourself.
Optional:
Lima City Tour
You can do a 4 hours city tour
in the morning (9 am) or afternoon
(2 pm). The tour includes the
historic center of the city
and a visit to the San Francisco
Convent and its catacumbs.

Flight
to Puerto Maldonado:
Transfer to the airport for your
flight to Puerto Maldonado in
the morning. It is a 2 hours flight
with a stop in Cusco.
Tambopata
Excursion: 1st Day
Upon arrival to Puerto Maldonado
we will take you to the lodge's
office to store your extra luggage.
Then you will ride on a motor-boat
for 25 minutes to a riverside
trailhead. From there you will
hike 3.2 Kms (2 miles) to Lake
Sandoval. Once there, you will
ride on a canoe to the lodge's
pier. After settle in the lodge,
you will explore the west end
of Lake Sandoval to watch a
bunch of red-bellies macaws.
After dinner, on a canoe you
will search the river shores
for black caimans.

Tambopata
Excursion: 2nd Day
Early in the morning you will
return to the lake to look for
the giant river otters and the
Hoatzins (pre-historic looking
birds). Later, you will learn
how the native people collect
and commercialize the Brazilian
nut. After lunch we will return
to the lake to watch one or more
of the 5 monkey species which
live in the forest near the lake
such as the Brown Capuchin monkey
and the Squirrel monkey.

Excursion: 3rd Day
In the morning you will explore
some of the rainforest trails
to look for plants and insects.
Your guide will explain to you
the importance of the tropical
forests and the Amazon jungle
and how its destruction will affect
your life. In the afternoon, you
will have your last chance to
watch a wonderful sunset.

Excursion: 4th Day
After breakfast you will ride
on a canoe to the other shore
of the Sandoval lake, then you
will hike to the Madre de Dios
river. From there you will ride
on a motor-boat back to Puerto
Maldonado. Once there you will
pick up your luggage from the
lodge's office on your way to
the airport.
Flight
to Cusco:
It is a 30 minutes flight. Upon
arrival we will take you to
the hotel. You will have the
afternoon free to acclimatize
to the altitude.

City Tour:
In the afternoon (1:30 PM) you
will visit the Cathedral. Then,
you will tour the amazing sites
of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay.
These archeological sites are
the remains of the ancient capital
of the Inca Empire.

Sacred Valley tour:
You will tour the Urubamba valley
starting at Pisac town. Then you
will visit Ollantaytambo and Chincheros.
In each town you will tour an
Inca site and a handicraft market.
The scenery along the ride is
beautiful.

Trail: 1st day
A bus will pick you up from the
hotel to take you to the beginning
of the Inca Trail (2,720 meters
/ 9,000 ft); from there you will
hike for 2 hours before lunch,
and then 2 more hours to reach
the campsite. You will see Llactapata
ruins along the trail and camp
at Wayllabamba (2,950 meters /
9,800 ft) with an amazing view
of Veronica snow-capped mountain.

Trail: 2nd day
This is the toughest day of the
trek. After 4 hours hiking, you
will reach the Warmiwanuska pass,
the highest point of the trail
(4,200 meters / 14,000 ft). After
rest at the pass, you will descend
to the Pacaymayo campsite (3,600
meters / 11,900 ft); there you
will lunch and rest.

Trail: 3rd day
This day is the nicest, the hike
starts with a climb to the Runkurakay
pass (3,990 meters / 12,960 ft)
from there the view of the mountains
and the cloud-forest is quite
impressive. After the pass, the
path is mostly downhill and the
sceneries change dramatically.
Along the path there are 3 main
Inca sites: Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca
and Winay Wayna, it's a sign you
are close to the sacred citadel
of Machu Picchu. You will camp
in Winay Wayna campsite at 2,700
meters (8,900 ft).

Trail: 4th day
You will wake up early in the
morning (4:30 AM) to reach Inti
Punku (Sun's Gate) before 6:30
AM to watch the first sun beams
over Machu Picchu (2,400 meters
/ 7,900 ft). Once in there you
will have a guided-tour for 2
hours; afterwards, you will have
free time to explore by yourself.
In the afternoon, you will take
the bus to Aguas Calientes town,
there is your hotel for tonight.

Free
day in Machu Picchu:
After a good shower and a good
night sleep on a bed, you can
enjoy the hot springs of this
town or you can go back to Machu
Picchu to explore it more. In
the afternoon you will take the
train back to Cusco.

day in Cusco:
You will have the day
free to do some shopping and to
enjoy this lovely city .
OPTIONAL:
Rafting
in the Urubamba river
We will take you to the Urubamba
river to have fun on a raft.
The level of the whitewater
rafting is very good, adventurous
but safe (rapids class II and
III). You will be back in Cusco
city in the afternoon (6 PM).

Journey
to Puno:
At 8 AM you will take the bus
to Puno. During the journey you
will enjoy wonderful sceneries
of snow-capped mountains, valleys
and llamas. You will arrive to
Puno at 2 PM, and then be taken
to the hotel.

Titicaca tour: 1st day
In the morning you will
take a boat to visit the Uros
and Amantani islands. The first
stop is the Uros islands, known
as the "floating islands" because
they are made with “totora” reed
by its inhabitants. Then, you
will continue to the Amantani
island by boat too. There, the
group will be welcome by the community,
and you will stay with a local
family in their house. After lunch,
you will go to the top of a hill
on the island, there you will
watch the sunset on the lake.
In the night, you will be the
guest of a party with the people
of the community.

Titicaca tour: 2nd day
After breakfast, you
will continue your journey to
Taquile Island by boat. After
one hour, you will arrive to this
island, home of an ancient community.
There, the people still wear typical
costumes and they have preserved
their ancient traditions. You
will be back in Puno in the afternoon
(4:30 PM).

to Arequipa:
At 2 PM, you will take
the bus to Arequipa. You will
arrive at 8 PM and we will take
you to the hotel.

City Tour:
In the morning, you will
tour the city of Arequipa and
its highlights as the Cathedral
and Santa Catalina Convent. You
will have the afternoon free to
do some shopping.

to the Colca Canyon: 1st day
In the morning a private bus will
take you to Chivay town in the
Colca valley. Along the road you
will see volcanoes and llamas.
In the town you will have a bath
in its wonderful hot-springs,
so don't forget your swimming-suit.

to the Colca Canyon: 2nd day
Early in the morning you will
have a ride along the valley until
the “cruz del condor” lookout
point, a perfect spot to watch
the “condors” on their daily flights.
Afterwards, you will return to
Chivay town to lunch and finally
return to Arequipa city.

You will have the morning
and afternoon free to do some
shopping and to enjoy this lovely
city at your own pace.
Journey
to Nazca:
In the afternoon (4:30
PM), you will start your journey
to Nazca by bus. You will arrive
to Nazca past midnight. We will
pick you up from the bus station
to take you to the hotel.

Lines:
In the morning, you will
fly over the Nazca Lines and discover
this mystery of ancient times.
The flight lasts 35 minutes and
you will see many of these mysterious
figures on the desert.
Journey
to Ica:
After lunch (2:30 PM),
you will take the bus to Ica.
The ride is slightly over 2
hours. Upon arrival, we will
take you to the hotel.

Desert:
In the morning you will ride on
a "buggie" through the
sand dunes of this amazing desert.
You will have fun sliding down
on a sand-board too. After two
hours you will return to the hotel
for a swim.
Journey
to Lima:
After lunch (1:40 PM),
you will take the bus to Lima.
You will arrive in Lima at 7
PM. We will take you to the
hotel upon arrival.
