Name of the Tour: Cusco Imperial

Description: A short trip to the heart of the Inca empire, Cusco city. You will tour this amazing city and the ancient Inca sites that surround it as Sacsayhuaman. You will also hike a short trail to reach the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu and if you are looking for more adventure, you can do rafting in the Urubamba river.

01 Arrival to Lima:
We will pick you up from the airport upon arrival and take you to the hotel in Lima.		 Lima
02 Flight to Cusco:
Transfer to the airport in Lima / Flight to Cusco / Transfer to the hotel in Cusco. You will have the afternoon free to rest and tour the city by yourself.		 Cusco

Cusco City Tour:
In the afternoon (1:30 PM) you will visit the Cathedral. Then, you will tour the amazing Inca sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay.  These archeological sites are the remains of the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.

Inca Trail:
Early in the morning (5:30 am), you will take the train until the Km. 104 of the railroad to Machu Picchu; there you will start the hike. It takes 5 hours to reach Machu Picchu. Along the way you will stop at a waterfall and a huge Inca site. You will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town; there you will stay in a nice hotel.

Machu Picchu tour:
In the morning (6 AM), you will take the bus back to Machu Picchu (30 minutes). There you will have a guided tour for 2 hours; afterwards you will have free time to explore the ruins by yourself. In the afternoon (4 PM), you will take the train back to Cusco.

Free day in Cusco:
You will have the day free to do some shopping and to enjoy this lovely city.

OPTIONAL: Rafting in the Urubamba river
We will take you to the Urubamba river to have fun on a raft. The level of it is very good, adventurous but safe (rapids class II and III). You will be back in Cusco city in the afternoon (5 PM).

Transfer to the airport in Cusco / Flight to Lima.		 (not included)

You can book this tour for anytime (except in February), just tell us when is the best time for you to start this trip.

PAYMENT:
To confirm your booking you have to pre-pay 300 US dollars, that you can pay with a check direct to INDIANA EXPEDITION. The rest can be paid upon arrival in cash (US dollars).

For payments with Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) we use a secure online service. You can pay the 300 dollars deposit or the total with credit cards. All payments using a credit card are subject to a 8% fee.
